Alabama Coin and Silver (ACS) opened its shop in August 1975. Since that time, hobbyists have entered our doors with the expectation of finding quality coins and collectibles at fair prices. Our clients have also come to expect consistent professional service with personal attention and integrity.

ACS is owned and operated by Charles Cataldo ("Moe"). Charles is an expert in the field of United States (U.S.) coins, paper money, Native American artifacts, and has extensive knowledge on the subjects of World coins and ephemera. His professional career achievements include consultant attributor for PCI Coin Certification Service (http://www.pcicoins.com). Charles is also an instructor of Native American artifacts at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

The support team at ACS is comprised of Phil Darby (“Curly”) and Roy Wilson (“Larry”), combining more than 30 years of experience in service to clients throughout the world. Phil is proprietor of J & P Coins and Currency, and is widely known for his expertise in ancient and U.S. coins, obsolete U.S. paper money, and ephemera (documents & autographs). Roy is the resident specialist in ancient numismatics and serves as administrator of internet sales for ACS.
Our shop is conveniently located near the intersection of Memorial Parkway and Bob Wallace Avenue, in Huntsville, Alabama. Whether you visit us in person or build your collection through internet purchases, your satisfaction is our number one priority.
